Oh, I love this!

As do I!

Thank you, volunteers. :)

On Discovery’s flight in July [STS-121], astronaut Lisa Nowak’s ponytail got stuck to the Velcro on the ship’s ceiling.

It was “very uncomfortable for her,” said Steven Lindsey, Discovery’s commander. “But I just couldn’t help myself. I started cracking up.”

I had to laugh at this.

I didn’t know Suni donated her hair! That was so nice of her!

I’ve had short hair for ages. I had a terror of getting it caught in equipment when I was in the Navy…same reason why I don’t wear lots of rings, because you can (legit) lose fingers in propulsion plants…

Ahahahah it would so happen to me too, if I had been her.

A banner in the Cape Kennedy crew quarters welcomes back “Nifty Neil” and “Dandy Dave” from their Gemini 8 flight. But lest they feel too important, they are reminded that “Big Al” is an added attraction.

Okay I just discovered that.
“Dandy Dave”…that means : Handsome Dave Scott™ is NASA approved.

This is too great.

Oh, and last night at work, a man came in wearing a NASA uniform. I totally wanted to bother him for a picture for my company’s Facebook page, but I didn’t want to interrupt his family time, and I had a lot of work to do cause it was getting busy in there. Oh well. I really wanted a picture though! Ugh.

And, then on another night, a guy came in and when we ended up having a conversation, he told me he works for NASA and was working on stuff with the VAB. He left and then came back 20 minutes later to give me his phone number. It was cute and all, but i’m taken. Even if I wasn’t, I think he should’ve asked for my number so he could call me first. It’s weird to me for the girl to have to call the guy first in order to hang out.

I love meeting NASA workers and anyone involved with the program. Haha, I feel like such a nerd! My co-workers probably think so too, since I talk about space stuff with a ton of the customers.

That’s our facebook url, I run it. :)

Pouring buckets on the island today! I can’t see the VAB from my bedroom window like usual!

My sister and I are having fun staying in our pjs and being dorks, which includes talking about the zombie apocolypse beginning in Florida and dancing to country music.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day. :)
